Marae Visit 2014

Our school visit to Te Kohinga Marama Marae.  

For the Powhiri the whole school walked on together and followed the calls of the karanga. We sat peacefully and listened carefully to each speaker. We sang our waiata with pride and showed our respect for the Marae. 

     
We heard wonderful stories about the Meeting House and the many beautiful carvings we saw.   Here is more of what we saw.
