Teddy Bear's Picnic

We had a great last day of term with our Kiwi hub teddy bears' picnic on Friday.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 We took our teddies down to Putikitiki to play on the adventure playground.

We shared our picnic lunch in Room 5 with our teddies.

Healthy lunches

I am really impressed by the lunches the kids in Room 5 are bringing to school.
Look at this wonderful array of nude food lunch boxes.
These lunches are mostly healthy but more importantly, they have no plastic packaging.
These families are committed to not polluting our earth with single use plastics.

Our Marae trip

We went to the Hukanui marae today.
We went on the bus with Rooms one, two and three. it was very hot and crowded on the bus.
There was a blue flag flying at the marae that was the Maori king's flag.
When we all sang E hara it sounded amazing.
The wharenui was interesting. It was a great trip.

The Kohanga reo kids were there.

We were welcomed by Whaea Robyn's aunty.

Our kaumatua spoke on our behalf.
