Adieu and Farewell

We finished our year together with a morning tea at Ms Jones' place.
It was a nice way to say goodbye and thank you for all the good things that happened this year.

It's been a wonderful class. Everyone should be proud of what they achieved this year.
The developmental shift between five and a half and six and a half is a big one. I have loved being on that journey of discovery and learning with the kids of Room 5.

I wish everyone all the best for the summer break and have an excellent start to 2019 in your new classes.  Take care, Ms Jones

Clay

We made pots out of clay.
They need to dry then we will get them fired in Cathy's kiln.

Road safety

We had a visit from a group of puppets talking about keeping safe on the road.
We learned to NEVER, EVER run across the road.

And if a ball goes onto the road, get an adult to retrieve it for us.

We use a booster seat in the car until we are big enough to go without one.
