Class of 1953 Reunion

Pōwhiri is the formal ceremony for welcoming visitors.
All pōwhiri follow a basic process with
some variations according to the occasion.
Our school welcome involves
whaikorero-speeches, waiata - singing
and kapahaka performance.
Visitors shake-hands and are seated for Positive Assembly.

Some class members of 1953 helped to present our Toolkit awards
and made special acknowledgement of the HES Speight's Shield
having two recipients past and present in attendance.

What a great time we had with our special visitors.
