Poupou

 We read a book about visiting a marae. Some children in our class have been to one before and some had not.

We read this story:

We talked about the special buildings and looked at how they look. We discussed how our classroom is a special building for us. We learned about the poupou carving and tried to draw our own to add something special for our room.
